Day 29- In this past month, what have you learned

I have learnt that no one is perfect, and that we should all learn from the mistakes we make and grow up. Every mistake made is a valuable lesson learnt. I learnt that I should never be too naive when it comes to love. Sometimes, it's better to stop trying to run after what may be wrong and let what is right come to you instead. I learnt that one must have dreams. But if things do not work out, I must learn to let go. It may not be easy, but it will make me a stronger person. I learn to cherish the people around me a little bit more. I learnt that earning money is no easy task. I learnt the value of money and the importance of life. I learnt, even if it's just a tiny bit, to grow up.

Day 30- Who are you?

I am Jasmine Lee. I am 17 years old this year. I am awaiting my first year of school at Temasek Poly as an Accounting and Finance student. I am not perfect, and I will stop trying to be perfect. But I will always give my best. I can be nice and fun to be with, or I can be that bitch you wish you never crossed paths with. This is me. Take me as I am, or watch me as I go.

Apparently no one gives two fucks about this site, guess that's why I didn't get any suggestions on formspring regarding my previous post. Oh well, I guess I'll just stick to what I've always been doing. Hehe :-)

It's 2:44AM now and I'm feeling kind of down. Things haven't really been going my way for me. Yeah, I didn't get accepted into JC. I feel like I'm so stupid, like I'm not good enough even after I tried my hardest. I feel like I disappointed my friends and family who supported me and most importantly, myself. But I've accepted the fact that there's nothing else I can do about it. As the saying goes, "no use crying over spilt milk". I can only embrace my posting to Temasek Poly and work harder towards my dream. Perhaps it's my calling? I'm not too sure. But thank you to everyone who had been trying to leave nice comments on my formspring, twitter and even texting me to cheer up. Words cannot articulate how grateful I am to have you people in my life. Your comments definitely made it easier for me to get through the past week so thank you all wonderful beings. x o x o

Maybe it's the fact that it's past midnight that I'm writing this post, probably why I'm being so emotional and stuff but I guess no one can stay strong for too long. If you keep stretching a rubber band, it'll eventually snap. I realise I have no one to talk to anymore. I can only turn to this page and spill out my thoughts. I wish life was easier. I wish things wouldn't be so complicated. I wish we didn't had to fuss over the smallest things. I wish I was numbed towards

everything...

I'll be taking a

ONE WEEK HIATUS.

I'm not in the best of moods lately. As you guys know, I didn't get accepted into SRJC. I got into TP Accounting and Finance though. I'm in a whirlpool of emotions. Half of me feels dejected and demoralized, I feel like I'm not good enough even after giving my best. Half of me feels like I should be more appreciative of the fact that I got into my first Poly choice. But.... my heart tells me that it isn't my dream. I never really envisioned myself to be in a Poly. Even though many people told me I look like a clubber girl, like I am always so wild and always partying and that I suit Poly but no.. I don't club, I don't party, I'm actually really a nerd and I like to study. :-/

I always saw myself in JC. Or at least hoped that I will one day be there. But after receiving my JAE postings after waking up on that fateful 7:58AM on Monday, I've been feeling so lost. I've tried to appeal to SRJC and hopefully they'll call me. If not, I guess I'll just take it as it is and go with my posted course in TP. :-/

So I hope you guys understand. I'm sorry I didn't keep up to my promise. But I feel that I really just need time this week to sort out my emotions and do what I can to appeal into SRJC. I'll come back by Friday to blog again, hopefully then with good news? Once again, I'm so sorry. I hope you guys wish me best of luck or maybe pray for me :-(

Appearance-wise, I think I became a little better looking. Not saying I'm good looking now but I appreciate what God had given me. :-)

For everything else aside from appearance, after having to work during my vacation, I learnt a lot more about responsibility. Working had opened my eyes to the world outside of school. It really isn't as easy as we fathom it to be. I guess education really brings you far. Through working at Tangs, I became a little bit more wise and mature. Experience really is a learning journey afterall :-)

So I'm halfway through my Pulau Ubin post. The uploading of the photos is such a bore I am really just annoyed writing that post LOL. I'll put it on hold for now but it'll be done by Wednesday (I hope *crosses fingers*). Anyway, Pulau Ubin post aside, I received another batch of my photoshoot pictures. So its 2:04AM in the morning and I can't sleep. Why? Because I woke up at 8PM. Smart.

Anyway, as most of you might already know, I got back my O Level results on Monday, 9 January. I was literally shivering with fear from the night before all the way till I sat on the chair in front of my previous form teachers when they revealed my results to me.

SOOOOOOOOO, I got 11 and 14 nett after deducting 2 pts for my CCA. Well, yeah, not that much of what I consider outstanding or rather even "good" results but I guess I did average? A part of me feels really satisfied knowing that I achieved As for my English and Maths but another part of me keeps thinking that if I had put more effort and time into my other subjects, I could have scored a lot better. Why? Because everything else on my certificate was a fricking B3 fml lol :-( (Except my coursework, which I got a C5 for because that shit is bull........ And I didn't include it into my computation for L1R4 or L1R5 duh.)

Anyway yup! That's about it for my results. For my JAE application I decided to put Serangoon Junior College as my first choice, followed by Temasek Poly's Accounting and Finance being

second, Temasek Poly's Business third, Temasek Poly's Law and Management fourth and Temasek Poly's Aviation Management and Services fifth. My sixth choice onwards was practically all business courses offered by the other polytechnics excluding NYP and RP.......

Yup, that concludes my secondary school life after going through this hellhole for 4 long, excruciating year. But it definitely was one hell of fun and words can't articulate how I reminisce the times when I was still going to school.. Le sigh!!!!

Just me... in my uniform.. showing my love for my school. HAHA JK.

But really, to all kids who're still in secondary school, don't worry, the years will pass by so fast and before you know it, you're sitting in the hall with your cohort and attending the Graduation Ceremony. So just chill, study and do your best, have fun, make mistakes, screw up, party and drink your weekends away, go back to school the next day and sit through 12 hours of school and at the end of the day, you'll know what I'm talking about right now. Have fun at school darlings!!

So as everybody already know, I did eyelash extensions!

Went with none other than my bestfriend Huda. Love this girl to bits. :-)

Had it done at Vain Beauty, at Far East Plaza #03-113. Take the escalator up and it's just the first few shops along the walkway.

Vain Beauty offers eyelash extensions at $30 for natural looking ones, $50 for more dramatic ones that stays for a longer period of time and $60 ones which... I don't really know what the difference is from the $50 ones so um, yeah nvm LOL.

Me and H did the $50 ones which the lady told us will last for a month! So worth it, paying $50 to look good everyday for 30 days? Why not? Save my time and effort to put on eye make up because the extensions make it looks as though I have eyeliner on and also makes me eyes look bigger MUAHAHA ;-)

From what I heard, their shop's business is really good hence you'll probably end up having to wait for your turn if you go there. But luckily for H and I, we could do ours immediately so yup. Depends on when you go I guess? We went there on a weekday so it wasn't so crowded. :-)

The process is really comfortable. You just lie on the bed and close your eyes. H tried to coax herself to sleep to lessen the suspense of knowing how the eyelashes look like because you can't open your eyes. They paste a sticker around your eyes that kinda just, in a way, sticks your eyes shut together really tight and when you try to open them it's really difficult and quite painful so word of advice, DON'T TRY.

H did hers first while I took the courtesy of helping her take pictures, such a good friend HAHA. ;-)

Oh and on a random side-note, if you plan on doing eyelash extensions, don't bother putting eye makeup when you leave home. Being the insecure little bitch I am, I applied full eye makeup (without contacts though) and before I could settle down into doing the extensions, they made me remove all of it. :-(

After finishing one side of H's eye, the lady gave her this mini fan thing to dry the glue to help quicken the process :-)

After that it was my turn so no pictures cos both of us were just laying there dealing with the overwhelming suspense.

H was really patient she was just drying her eyes the whole time and falling asleep but because I was lying next to the mirror, I tried to open my eyes, even a peek, AND IT HURT BALLS.

So after approximately 20 minutes of drying our lashes, the lady stripped the sticker off our eyes AND IT FUCKING HURT FOR ME. I mean like, your eye area is damn sensitive no?! IT FELT LIKE A WAX. OUCH. :'(

Then we could slowly open our eyes. H's eyes were fine because like I said, she was very patient. BUT FOR ME, IT WAS LIKE MY EYES WERE SET ON FIRE. It literally turned bloodshot in a second and I couldn't stop tearing. Super painful!

Tip: BE PATIENT!

It continued hurting for like, an hour? But after that the pain subsided and it felt a lot better.

If you ask me to rate how comfortable it is with eyelash extensions, I would say when you have it for like the first 2 days you'll feel very very weird. I'm not a frequent user of falsies so for me I felt very weird! Everytime I blink I can feel the lashes and it hurts abit cos it pokes my lash line. :<

But give it a few days, you'll get used to it. I have it on for a week already and I love them! Makes me a lot more confident to go out without having to put on the slightest bit of make up :-)

CRACKING MY DAMN KNUCKLES.

My knuckles are so often cracked that they are fucking huge and fat and ugh, unattractive. It's bad enough I already have short stumpy fingers but the existence of fat knuckles = x75962230650236416 the un-attractiveness, FML.

Anyway, IT'S THE FIRST OF JANUARY, 2012. Here's wishing my fellow readers a Happy New Year!

Had an awesome feast with my family before we parted ways. Initially my countdown was rather depressing and all, I cried for the first few minutes after the clock struck 12 but then my night only got better. Dressed up and hit the beach with my pals, reached at 1AM-ish and drank the night to welcome the arrival of what I hope may be a brilliant year ahead for everyone. :-)

Pictures! Finally I'm putting some effort into reviving this abandoned site.

Yesterday night I was fricking hungry halfway through drinking. Really couldn't drink on an empty stomach so Praveen, Nadie and I ordered McDelivery. Took forever for the damn operator to pick up our call but we got through anyway. But the damn delivery took an hour and a half to reach. I was literally starving lol :-( When it finally reached I was already high. I ate like half the burger and the other half was strewn all over the park. I didn't touch my twister fries and my coke was left to be diluted. Perfect example of money waste. -_-

Anyway, Mayvis dropped by late at night, around 4-ish? I think? Too high to notice anyway LOL. But yeah.

Well, I have lots of things to say to this girl. I've known her since our golden days back in Secondary 1, when we were still young, naive, foolish and reckless girls. Did a lot of stupid things together and always getting caught for our attire. We were the 2 infamous short ahlians named by our dear Discipline Master (WTF). Then this year, things got shitty. We fought and didn't talk for like.... half the year? Yeah. We made up on Prom Night though, which was barely a month ago and soon after, I learnt that she'll be leaving to go to Australia to study. Last night would probably be the last I'll see of her until a very long time.

So babe, if you're reading this, I just want to let you know that really, you're an awesome friend. And once again, I'm sorry for whatever stupid things I said in the past. I hope that we'll both grow out of that chapter and leave it behind in 2011. Bon voyage and study hard alright! Love you :-)

So we all took photos with her for the last time. Heh, for memories sake. :-) Sent her off to her dad at 5ish because she's leaving today! So she needed to pack her luggage. Could tell that the guys were feeling a little solemn on the inside... Oh well :-(

After she left we continued to stay on. Didn't drink after that as the sun was starting to rise and we were already sobering up. Decided to stroll along the beach with Dhruv, Randyne and Duncan.

When the sky got brighter we took off our shoes and played in the water heheh. After that my blister started to hurt because of the seawater washing it so I got out :-( Packed up and hailed a cab home because I was mad tired. :-)

So yup, that's how my New Year's went. Not any extravagant event or anything spectacular for that matter but I'm thankful that I got to spend quality time with both my family and my friends. Couldn't ask for anything more. Once again, Happy 2012 guys. :-)

Sooo... I used to blog on http://http://min-xoxo.blogspot.com/ until I changed my url. It was after I broke up with one of my ex boyfriend, Renny. Yeah you can click archives, it was back in 2009 hahaha.

He broke up with me because he said I suffocated him. So he moved on, and I didn't. I couldn't. I missed him like crazyyyyyy *trololol*. Thereafter, I changed my url to heartneedsrescue because I felt like I was in torture everyday, seeing him moved on yet pathetic me was still stuck in the past. Hence the name.

OKAY GAY STORY. Looking back I feel so stupid HAHA. But we all make mistakes don't we? :/

YAY O's ARE ALMOST OVER.

So, I haven't been blogging for forever and I lost my blogging vibe. If you ask me, I really have no idea how I could blog on a daily basis in the past. But anyway, I'm as free as a bird now. Therefore I shall blog more often (hopefully - if anyone even bothers reading this dead abandoned site HAHA.)

Going through O's was such a torture. Never once did the school let us rest. Heading back to school in June everyday for Banding and for completion of coursework. Prelims, which I must say I did really badly for (but it was a blessing in disguise - totally woke me up from my stupid delusions and made me study) and then eventually the real thing itself. I found the papers relatively easier than what I've done for revisions, probably because my school is such a bitch, scaring us till you could literally shit bricks doing the prelim paper. But ah well, I'm only left with one more paper which is my Combined Science MCQ on the 14th. Hopefully next year when I return to collect my result slip, I don't cry in regret but rejoice because I could enter my ideal tertiary. Seriously, this shit is keeping me in so much suspense -_-"

Soooo, my aim is to enter a JC, so I need like <15 at most for my L1R5? And I've already -2 pts for CCA so yuuuup, I pray my results ain't like shit or anything. :(

Omg so sorry for the lack of updates (again)! Was busy the whole week studying for Common tests, and I'm still left with 3 more major subjects. Urgh it's so tiring. School is. Life is. Sucks to be sec4. If only I could rewind time back to when I was still 13. :(

Some updates on my life-

1. Got my O level topic for 3D Animation earlier this month. Have already started on 5% of my coursework so far. It's been good, the research and all. However tried modeling the stupid things on Cinema4D BUT I SUCK AT IT. Can someone nice pls teach me how to freaking model a golf club or something urgh. :(

2. I received my O level Chinese Language result. Obtained a B4 and a merit for oral. Hence dropping the subject, which also equivalents to no extra lessons after school fyeah :)

3. Took SYF Video today during band, it was scorching hot in the parade sq but we did it in a short span of 15 minutes, am very proud of us hehe. And also (quite) proud of myself as I actually memorized the whole song. I thought I wouldnt but I did. Not bad ah. Actually it's not really an achievement la lol. :(

4. SYF Practice Schedules is out! Extra saturday practices start tomorrow, not including 2 other performance which PRSSBand is invited to- One at the Conference Hall and the other at The Merlion (very honoured to be invited to perform there.) Can't wait for practice to start and SYF 2011 to be over. Need to step down so I can focus on my coming o lvl prelims after SYF :p

5. Honestly I never thought I would be this exhausted everyday after school as a sec4. I thought I could relax in the first 2 months but I am so wrong. Sec 3s,2s and 1s, go play your ass of and make trouble and be a rascal. If you don't, you'll regret in sec4. Hahaha ya heed my advice :D

Sorry for the sudden lack of blogging!

These few days have been pretty hectic. B went overseas and I was all left alone. Boohoo! (Lucky he's back now, any later I'll go crazy).

While he was away, I survived the 3 days dilemma (I'm so needy lol!) attending Changkat Changi Military Band Concert feat Hougang Primary School at the Marine Parade CC with fellow PRSSBand members. I liked the encore! Nobody and Bad Romance - Sir was dancing at the side of the stage HAHAHA SO FUNNY. :S

Oh and, my house is currently undergoing some really heavy renovation right now - which explains the lack of updates, heh. I'll post pictures up soon! Well hopefully soon, because my house is still in chaos at the moment.....

Well, Christmas is coming! 2011 isn't very far away either. Hope you guys are getting the festive holidays mood going on now. As for me, I'm contented to spend Christmas with my loved one this year. :)

I don't know when this happened again because my body clock is srsly fucked but one day, I woke up to b sitting by my bed, with milo and hot chickenmush soup on the drawer beside it. :)

Apparently, he had came over early in the morning to make breakfast for me. Oh how I felt so loved! After eating, I slept a little while longer (hahaha pig) while b went ahead to make me lunch - Pasta!

Okay I have no idea what the original dish is supposed to be called but it was scrumptious. We watched August Rush while eating till evening and then I slept again after that while b used the computer hahaha. Felt so mean but was so tired. :S

Yesterday was a fun day out with the gang again. Slept at 5am the night before then forced myself out of bed at 12pm :( Prepared then met Syafiqah, Randyne, Amos, Kenneth, Aaron and Dhruv at Bedok MRT. I finally had the chance to dress up!

Wore my Topshop Petite Skater Dress with Stockings I ripped myself (and in the process cuting my legs with a razorblade, fucking hurts like shit) and my Newlook boots WHOO. I finally felt myself for once, all dressed up and hitting town. :)

Took a train to Bugis and walked to Arabst. Randyne bought his Shisha set- tobacco and everything blabla and took a train back to my house. Spent the whole afternoon and evening there then Syafiqah had to go :( While the guys were sending her off me and Dhruv walked Brownie downstairs :B She peed everywhere, got him very disturbed .___.

After the guys came back, I changed etc etc and we headed to FENGSHAN 85 MARKET for dinner! All of us ate the famous BAKCHORMEE :B Then Dhruvbee and Aaron had to run for the bus so Randyne, Amos, Kenneth and I stayed back to eat Sambal Stingray :D Starting drizzling so we had to change seats. Talked a lot of crap and joked around, took 222 and the 3 guys alighted at Interchange, leaving me alone on the bus. Blablablabla.

Went to Tampines with boyfie today. Ate $1.80 Chicken Cutlet Rice HUAHUAHUAHUA. Yummy and filling! Then baby treated me to Starbucks. Had Java Chip Frap because I forgot to tell bee I didnt want the coffee one :( Sat there for a good 2 hours (I think) playing monopoly. Selfish bee took away all the properties for sale :( Blablabla then he sent me home after :)

To the guy who once used to say that I wouldn't last more than a month with Dhruv, fuck you hard in the ass yeah? Sorry boy but seems like as faithful and loyal as you are, your girlfriend ditched you anyway because you are just a fucking retard, possesive, act cool, act gangster, act popular, act handsome guy in school. 2010 has been a year mixed with terrible happenings and good ones. Taught me who were true friends and who weren't. Taught me that bitches in school should be ignored (simply because they are retarded and jealous- duh.). Taught me that I deserve more than just shitty ex-s and guys I used to date. Taught me that studies are really important (especially since the Big O is next year). Honestly, 2010 has been the best year so far. I can't ask for more <3

Went to catch a movie with J, Rud, Pamela and Nizam. Caught 'The Back-Up Plan'.
Personally, would rate it 5/5. Damn hilarious and romantic. Should go catch it, totally worth your money. (Though I wasn't the one who paid whooops. Thanks bi~)

Met Ken, Weihan and Parry after the movie. L4D2-ed again! Omg I'm being hooked onto it damn badly man. But its ok, I like :D Blablabla fast forward, went to 85 market with J and Ken. Yesterday was epic :)

Went to J's house with Matt and Rud. So cute pleaze. They were playing wii like retarded little kids hahaha. Oh and they cooked HAHAHA. Can you imagine? I'm a girl and I have no idea how to handle the kitchen while them, all 3 guys, can cook. Wtf much lol.

After that round 9pm, cabbed down to Katong Shopping Center and met Gem and Shawn. Played L4d2 again! Awesome even though me, J and Rud kept losing. Cabbed home with Gem and Shawn at 2.30.

On a random side note, mummy flew back to Philippines again yesterday. Won't be seeing her for another long period of time I guess. I'm still learning how to be independent. Sucks without having your mum around, really. I miss you mummy. =(

Yesterday was fun x10 omg, we should totally have a chill out session like that again. Except next time when Dhruv promises alcohol, there must be alcohol k!

So anyway got back progress report. I fared not too badly but I'm also not contented with my l1r5 which I shall not expose because I think I can do better :P

Last period was Chinese and we had to finish our News report before we could be dismissed so I finished mine at 12.45 and Isaac came in to class to accompany me to wait for Kenneth the slowpoke who finished his composition at 1.30 -_-

Went home with Ken on the MRT, split ways with him. Went home. Changed to a bikini and threw on a basic. Dumped extra clothes in my bag because I was supposed to go to the I.T fair after the outing. Got out of house at 2.50. Met Kenneth. Reached Pasir Ris at 3. Went to the interchange to wait for Huda and Syafiqah. Sat 403 to the beach. Settled down. Guys were playing rugby. Waited for the rest to arrive while the guys took turn dunking each other into the smelly dirty beach waters (ew).

K fast forward. B, Medric, Tori and Martin came. Blablabla and Medric comforted me. Then I went back and Randyne, Khom, Kenneth, Dhruv, Quin, Syafiqah, Huda, Mayvis and Aaron crowded around me to cheer me up. So sweet of them, thank you guys. (:

Changed. Wanted to leave at 7.30. Kissed B goodbye then waited for Aaron and Quin to come back from sending Dhruv off to go home with us. But in the end, family called and told me I didnt have to go afterall so yay. Walked slowly back to the bus stop with Quin, Randyne, Kenneth, Isaac, Huda, Syafiqah and Mayvis. Took pics with Quin, he was so cute and funny HAHA (!!!) I scared if I post the pics B jealous. Hmm but anyway. Reach Pasir Ris inter and bidded Syafiqah, Isaac, Huda and Quin goodbye. Awww. Went to WhiteSands Mac with Randyne, Kenneth and Mayvis. Wanted to meet B initially but decided not to go in the end. So stayed on and saw Ariel, Ruiyi, Sijing, Simin and Weiteng too. Omg today was horrible. Rightttt, had difficulty sleeping last night with the aircon on full blast and my bad flu + throat. Worst thing happened when I realised I set my 545am alarm on snooze while still half-asleep and woke up at 610 instead. Hurried to bathe and leave home as I had to reach school by 7.

Angel waited for me at the MRT. And bought me a drink too! Thanks angel. Then waited for Huda and set off for school. Saw Syafiqah along the way so we walked to school together. And so things were great till this point. Went to greet Mrs Sum immediately after settling down and she reprimanded me like I did something super wrong. Like helloooo it's totally not my fault that I did not notice the 3 words difference in the script. Urgh -_-

Okay so went to practice at the foyer, tried very hard to speak properly instead of croaking like a stupid bitch. Then speech, got it over and done with finally. Went back to class for HCL and got last minute notice that there was Oral exam. FML x10

The rest of the day was super slack. And everyone in class was asking me if I was okay. Hehe so sweet of E4 (: Oh then Physics, I got A1 again yay me :D

Mummy has been back for nearly 2 weeks now. And she's leaving again soon. I have no idea how I should react to her constant departure. And people around me are telling me I'm lucky because I don't have to be nagged at by parents. Oh god. I wish they would understand what it's like.

CNY celebration had finally passed and it's back to school again tomorrow.
My nails are still in bright neon pink and I think it's gonna stay that way till lessons resume. Chemistry exam tomorrow after carnival, I hope the notes I have will get me through passing grade because apparently my textbook is MIA. Anyway, valentine's day movie yesterday with my cousins. It was awesome and Taylor Swift was totally bimbo. -two thumbs up- Well well, life is mundane and I've nothing else to blog about so tataz and hope you'll have a great weekend ahead. :)

OMGEEZ I'm so sorry for abandoning this site. I'm facing technical difficulties right now. Internet cable is unplugged, laptop is sick and CPU is dead.........
